Zac Efron- From Teen Heartthrob to Notorious Killer

Credit: Entertainment Tonight

Zac Efron is transforming from that dreamy heartthrob to notorious serial killer Ted Bundy in his new movie "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile."

The 30-year-old actor sat down with Entertainment Tonight's Keltie Knight to speak about what it was like to portray the infamous killer.

A post shared by Zac Efron (@zacefron) on

"It's very interesting. I think the movie itself is really deep," Efron explained. "It doesn't really glorify Ted Bundy. He wasn't a person to be glorified. It simply tells a story and sort of how the world was able to be charmed over by this guy who was notoriously evil and the vexing position that so many people were put in, the world was put in. It was fun to go and experiment in that realm of reality."

Efron has shared various pictures to his Instagram as the killer. While many actors have had their share of troubles portraying such dark roles, Zac says he "left it in Kentucky" where it was shot.

"I didn't take it home," he said. "I didn't go full method and I didn't have to like do any weird stuff to anybody to get into character. It's a different type of film."

We can definitely say, we are interested in seeing the result of this movie!
